Hi my friend Cheryl! Love your new look and congrats from me! You're such a special person in my life...thanks for girl time! My very favorite present up to today would have to be the unexpected gift of a quilt from a special friend, Rosa, who lives in a retirement village in Woodward, OK. She wrote me a note saying she wanted me to have a Christmas Angel quilt that our church had made for our annual auction many years ago. I had spent a lot of hours on the quilt and bid to no avail against my friend Rosa. Then, out of the blue, to have this wonderful handwritten note and the quilt in my possession is a treasure and an honor beyond words for me!

I can't decide! Perhaps that stereo I begged my parents for in the 60's rates right up there. Or in the 90's that dainty diamond anniversary necklace hidden in the pocket of a fluffy bathrobe. I still wear the robe too! Perhaps the photo keychain I received from the world's greatest kids on Mothers Day. And I can't forget my husband who has made my life worth living since 7-7-07! But I gotta say...Thank you Lord for bringing Cheryl into my life...a treasure of a friend. I had just moved to town and walked into her store and she met me with that infectious smile. Before I knew it I was revealing my life story and I felt like I had known her F-O-R-E-V-E-R! She has even helped me make more new friends! Did I mention how sweet, talented and funny she is? A little poem just for you, LaLa!
The unexpected kindness from an unexplected place.
A hand outstretched in friendship, a smile on someone's face.
A word of understanding spoken in an hour of need
Are unexpected miracles that make life more worthwhile. HAPPY BLOGOVERSARY!
